I have been married for 9 years, I live in Orpington, but will be working with my mother at her home in the Croydon area.

I have 10 years of experience in working with young children. After leaving school at 16 I studied for 2 years at Croydon college gaining two childcare qualifications. My first appointment in Early Learners day nursery, was working with young babies from three months. I specialized in this age group for nearly a year. During this time I gained a vast amount of experience and was able to support the young babies growth, development and learning through many different experiences which I planned for them.

I continued to gain further knowledge and experience when I progressed to a room leader in the next age group from one year to two. Some of the my duties were to over see the staff working in the room, ensuring they were supporting the children in their care. I helped develop educational plans for individual children, and worked closely in partnership with parents.

I worked in a large nursery called Teddies I was promoted to senior room leader and now had the responsibility of two rooms. I supervised six staff and work closely to ensure the care and education meets the Early Years Foundation stage framework. I organised staff rota's to ensure staff ratios are correct throughout the day. I had the responsibility of greeting the parents at the beginning and at the end of the day when I opened and locked up the building.

Over the years I have worked in four completely different setting and attended many different training courses to enhance my personal development. This has enabled me to gain different prospective on how different approaches can be used to support children's care, development and education.

Now I have decided to put this expertise together with my mothers vast amount of experience and training, to work as a childcare professional from home. I believe we can offer parents the peace of mind that there children will be getting high quality care and good grounding in their education, which will be essential when they start main stream school.
